It is theorized to have originated in Northern India well over two-thousand years ago as a 'temple' dance, revering the feminine powers of fertility and childbearing. This sensual, powerful, spiritual dance increases your flexibility/strength, tones muscles, is aerobic, builds confidence and self-esteem and is just great fun! The Class will consist of learning the basic moves of belly dance. It will also consist of beginning veil work and basic choreography. There will be a warm up before and a stretch/cool down after. |
